Waddock not prepared to give up without a fight

Wycombe boss Gary Waddock is refusing to throw in the towel despite seeing his side edge closer to relegation following a 2-1 defeat at Walsall.

The Chairboys fell behind to goals from Manny Smith and Julian Gray before Adam Hinshelwood tapped in at the near post 12 minutes from time to give them hope. Wycombe have had only one win in their last 11 games but were unlucky not to get a share of the points following a brave fightback.

Waddock said: "Games are running out but we won't give up until it is out of our hands. We shall keep fighting as we did in the second half."

He added: "We got what we deserved because of the first half. But in the second half we improved, but we needed to win this game. At the moment we are finding it difficult to win games."
