There was understandably negativity in the air before Arsenal hosted Crystal Palace at the Emirates. The whole saga involving Alexis Sanchez moving to Manchester United has put even more of a damper on what has been a frustrating season already. The Gunners sit in sixth and they're out of the FA Cup, however, Roy Hodgson's men appeared to be on the end of some serious frustration from Arsenal in the first half.Amazingly, Arsene Wenger's side were 4-0 up after just 25 minutes and the man of the moment was arguably Nacho Monreal. The Spanish left-back - who made his comeback from injury - scored the opener and then provided the assists for Alex Iwobi and Laurent Koscielny. Sadly, he was forced off after just 33 minutes with a suspected hamstring injury. But, Arsenal saved their best for last, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring the fourth and ending his drought in spectacular style. The one-touch football was simply beautiful, reminiscent of Willian's goal against Brighton in the lunchtime kick-off.

VIDEO: LACAZETTE'S GOAL

Not bad, eh?

Iwobi looked much more at home in Sanchez's position on the left, while Jack Wilshere was given licence to operate further forward, which appeared to be a masterstroke.

But, Mesut Ozil's assist was the finest part of the move, further illustrating why the club need to simply throw money at him to sign a contract extension.

The end of Lacazette's drought will be the most satisfying thing for Gunners fans, with the Frenchman taking his Premier League tally to nine for the season.

With Chelsea scoring four earlier in the day, Wednesday's Carabao Cup tie is set up to be yet another thriller at the Emirates.
