Michael Simpson could return to the Burton squad for the visit of Bradford.

The midfielder suffered a facial injury against Darlington that ruled him out of Albion`s second fixture of the Easter period against Bury.

However, scans have revealed no broken bone around the eye socket and cheekbone area and he was able to resume training on Thursday.

Jacques Maghoma made his comeback from a knee injury as a second-half substitute against Bury on Monday and he is pushing for a return to the starting line-up along with fellow wingers Keith Gilroy and Jimmy Phillips.

Defenders Tom Parkes and Paul Boertien and leading scorer Shaun Harrad are also in the frame for recalls after boss Paul Peschisolido was heavily critical of his players after the 3-0 loss to Bury.

Bradford will be without Michael Flynn, James Hanson, Omar Daley, Simon Ramsden and Matt Clarke.

Midfielder Flynn has missed the last two matches and is still struggling with a rib injury while big striker Hanson sat out Monday's home defeat to Macclesfield due to a hamstring strain.

Winger Daley is sidelined with a similar problem and defenders Ramsden and Clarke have been out for several weeks with calf strains.

Manager Peter Taylor must decide who to start with up front alongside Gareth Evans. Ryan Kendall, on loan from Hull, has been given the nod for the last two matches, but was replaced in both, with central defender Luke Oliver switching to a striker's role.

Teenage winger Ryan Harrison was handed his first taste of senior action on Monday and could feature again while Leon Osborne is pushing for a place in the starting line-up.
