It's a bittersweet ending to Alexis Sanchez's time at the Emirates Stadium. On one hand, the Gunners have just lost their best player and to one of their fiercest rivals, Manchester United. On the other hand, they have gained Henrikh Mkhitaryan, a player who appears to actually want to play for the club. However, what Sanchez said once his move to United was completed will be just as painful as losing him full stop."Since I was a boy I’ve always said my dream was to play for Manchester United," Sanchez told MUTV. "I’m not saying that because I’m here now... I always said as a kid that I’d like to play for United, and I once spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about it."We chatted for around twenty minutes. And I told him that it was my dream to come here to United."Ouch. It seems as though Sanchez was always thinking about making his way to Old Trafford - even if the deal did kind of come out of nowhere - and, naturally, his loyalty has been questioned. However, an old video from when did an interview with Arsenal suggests that Sanchez might be lying. Take a look:To be fair, Sanchez was hardly going to say he dreamt of United while playing for Arsenal. But, to say he didn't know much about football until aged 10 and then that he didn't support anyone at all is certainly a contradiction. But, the Chilean superstar wasn't done twisting the knife in Arsenal hearts during his MUTV interview.

Sanchez said: "I looked at the badge and my hairs just stood up on end because it’s a powerful club and the biggest in England."

Arsenal have lost yet another top player to Manchester with a slew joining Man City years ago and Robin Van Persie famously joining United in the final year of his contract and bringing them their last league title.

Can Sanchez bring the Red Devils a league title? With City 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League, it's a big ask this season.
