Chesterfield are boosted by the return of leading scorers Jack Lester and Drew Talbot for the crucial home clash against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Lester came on as a substitute during Monday's loss at Barnet after three months out with a knee injury and looks certain to be involved again.

Talbot will no doubt be recalled despite manager John Sheridan criticised his health after missing the Easter fixtures with a virus.

That duo have scored 19 goals between them this season but have not started a game at Saltergate together since Darlington were beaten 5-2 back in November.

Wade Small's return to the scoresheet at Barnet means all three men could start as Chesterfield look to reignite their play-off challenge against one of the teams chasing them.

Dagenham will be without midfielder Marlon Pack for the trip.

Pack has been a regular since joining on loan from Portsmouth in January but has returned to Fratton Park after his deal expired so former Crystal Palace youngster Billy Bingham could make his first start.

Bingham missed the 3-1 defeat at Port Vale on Monday with a cold but is fit now while Danny Spiller is another option after shaking off a leg injury.

Defenders Scott Doe (back) and Mark Arber (ankle) went off against Accrington Stanley last Saturday and missed Monday`s match at Vale. Anwar Uddin and Romain Vincelot deputised for them and will continue to do so if neither is available.

Midfielder Stuart Thurgood remains sidelined with a knee injury which threatens to end his season early and defender Will Antwi is still nursing a calf strain.
