WWE’s Raw 25 show last night to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw was a good nostalgia trip for fans watching at home and inside the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center in New York, but there were some notable superstar absentees that played a big part in helping Raw become what it is today.

Legends of Raw’s past such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, D-Generation X, Razor Ramon, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, and Vince McMahon, as well many other legends appeared on the show, but there were a few standout names that weren’t even given a mention by WWE.

One of the names that didn't appear on Raw 25 on Monday night despite having a rich history with WWE's red brand is Randy Orton.

The 13-time world champion was drafted to Raw in 2002, but despite being readily available since he's a SmackDown Live superstar, WWE opted not to use him. They used other SmackDown stars such as AJ Styles, Charlotte Flair, The New Day, as well as free agent and longtime rival John Cena, but not The Viper.

Orton's wife, Kim Orton, took to Instagram last night to voice her unhappiness with the WWE for not including her husband in the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw celebrations. Although she didn't point out why he wasn't included, she gave a strong case as to why he should have been on the show.

She said: "Can someone pls explain to me how @randyorton isn’t on the Raw 25th anniversary tonight? He’s been on more episode of Raw then anyone besides HHH, Michaels, Taker, Kane and Cena. Impressive list right? So why NOT @randyorton? He’s had some of the most memorable moments in Raw history too. He’s also on the Promo pic but isn’t on the show.

"Just doesn’t make sense to me. Enjoy the show tonight guys. I’ll be playing MarioKart with my kids."

WWE fans won't have to wait long to see Orton again, as he'll likely be appearing on SmackDown Live tonight, the last blue brand show before the Royal Rumble this weekend. He will be competing in the men's Royal Rumble match at the pay-per-view.

However, it's still quite odd that a superstar of his caliber and standing wasn't used on Raw this week. WWE may never give us an explanation as to why they didn't include The Viper in any of their Raw 25 segments.
