In the world of bland sporting cliches, Tyson Fury is someone who is never short of an opinion, or lacking in confidence on his own ability.

After close to 18 months of his career being on hold due to a doping ban, Fury was given the green light to apply for his clearance to resume his boxing career by the British Boxing Board last week.

Fury, who remains unbeaten from his 25 fights, is hoping to return to the boxing ring by April.

There remain some conditions Fury must fulfill, such as sending the boxing board his up to date medical records.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old former heavyweight champion has wasted little time in announcing who is on his checklist in terms of who he wants to take on in the ring.

His number one target in the long-term remains current champion Anthony Joshua.

And in a new interview with Box Nation, AJ is certainly someone who the Gypsy King is so confident of beating he even thinks it will be the easiest fight of his comeback.

"I'm gonna say this, a bold quote; Joshua will be my easiest fight. Even easier than Wladimir Klitschko. Even after two and a half years out the ring," Fury said.

"I look at them all and I see all good men, all good World Champions, all young and ambitious and unbeaten, and it's a very good time to be a Heavyweight.

"Deep down, they know the Gypsy King will reign supreme again."

While many in Fury's position would have lost his passion for the sport and been content with what they had achieved, the Manchester fighter is as hungry as ever to prove the doubters wrong.

"I've been proving people wrong my whole life. As soon as I entered into this world I proved people wrong.

"The doctors said I wouldn't make it, but I did. The doctors said I wouldn't be very big, and I'm a giant.

"They said I couldn't win a British Title, and I did. They said I definitely wouldn't win a European title and I did. They said he's got no chance against Wladimir Klitschko...I made the man look stupid.

"They said I'd never be able to overcome UKAD - done.

"And then they said I'd never get my licence back - done.

"They said I could never lose the weight. Well guess what? That's on the way to being done too."

Fury admits that he still has a bit to go to before reaching top fighting form and fitness again, but is certainly on the right track to achieving just that.

After shocking the boxing world once in his career, it would be one hell of a story if the often-controversial, albeit honest character, was able to do it all again.

One thing is for certain, he wouldn't have any trouble letting the sporting world know all about it.
