The rumors regarding Ronda Rousey to WWE continue to run rampant, and Triple H's recent comments about the situation only made things worse.

For months now Rousey has been rumored to be undergoing a career switch into the world of professional wrestling. She was once one of the most dominant names in mixed martial arts (MMA) before suffering her first defeat in November of 2015.

Holly Holm scored a second round knockout win over "The Rowdy One" to dethrone her from the 135-pound throne and become the second-ever women's bantamweight champion in UFC history.

Rousey decided to attempt a return a year later to challenge new title holder Amanda Nunes, but was knocked out in just 48 seconds. Since then Rousey has been away from the MMA world, and many believe she has silently retired from competition.

WWE has used Rousey in a few segments since her UFC departure, most notably at the Mae Young Classic where she and her friends showed up to support finalist Shayna Baszler.

A Four Horsewomen of MMA vs. Four Horsewomen of WWE match was teased, however, those plans have since reportedly been nixed.

To further things even more Triple H and Ronda Rousey were recently spotted having dinner with one another in a fancy LA restaurant. Rousey's agent was also present, indicating business was likely discussed.

Here's what Triple H had to say about the meeting (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"We are talking to Ronda, as we've been for a while," Triple H said. "She has a lot of things going on. We have a lot of things going on.

"But we have a great relationship with her, a very friendly standpoint for a long period of time now. It was great to catch up with her. ... We have nothing to announce at this time.

"But she's a huge fan of what we do and she's incredibly interested in what we do and the opportunities that lie there.

"We're fans of hers and incredibly interested in what those opportunities could be with us. But there's a lot of things to walk through. We're talking. We're having conversations."

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were recently at a Make-A-Wish celebration, and The Blast was able to catch up with them about the Rousey rumors. With just two words Triple H sparked even more speculation about the situation:

"I will tell you this," Triple H said. "Stay tuned."
