The 2018 NBA All-Star Game reserves were named on Tuesday and there was one very notable exception from the lineup, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Paul George. Yet, the man himself isn't bothered too much about the snub.Other notable players that didn't make the reserves cut include Kemba Walker, Lou Williams, Carmelo Anthony, Devin Booker, Nikola Jokic, Andre Drummond, Dwight Howard, Ben Simmons and Kawhi Leonard. However, George is the biggest name not in this year's team.George is currently averaging 20.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per game this season, while also shooting 42.2 percent from 3-point range. These numbers are unquestionably worthy of an All-Star consideration, but that didn't happen for him this season.Yet when he spoke to ESPN about the All-Star exclusion on Tuesday, the Thunder star didn't seem too bothered by the matter, as he said he had bigger goals and bigger dreams in mind that are more important than making the All-Star team, such as winning an NBA Championship.George said: “It is what it is. I wasn’t an All-Star. Whoever made the list, everybody thought the same. I wasn’t an All-Star apparently. Life goes on. I got a second half when I came here [to Oklahoma]. I think Melo said it best. It’s something that we being in the East, it’s easier for us ‘coz we were holding our teams, pretty much putting the team on our back night in and night out."But it is what it is. When I came here it’s bigger dreams and bigger goals. And what I got to look forward to is try to win a championship.”

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan is disappointed George didn't make the All-Star team, as he told ESPN he is ‘without question one of the 12 elite players in the West.’ Russell Westbrook also believes it is 'outrageous' that his teammate didn't make the cut.

He said: "Unbelievable. I think it's just outrageous, in my opinion. I don't know who else made the team but got four people from one team, you've got guys complaining about getting snubbed until they get in, you've got guys just talking about it all the time. But the guys that deserve it -- should be in -- are not. I just don't understand. Doesn't make any sense."

The additional rest will certainly do wonders for the Thunder's playoff hopes later this year, and if the team somehow comes away with a championship, it will be George that will have the last laugh following this All-Star snub.
