WWE officials might want to be concerned about their experiment on a social media platform.

Mixed Match Challenge started streaming live on Tuesday nights back Jan.16. The 12-episode series will air on Facebook.

The original idea was going to be a show focused on the Women of WWE. This would have included female stars from Raw, Smackdown Live, and NXT.

Fans will be able to watch WWE Superstars from both the Raw and SmackDown Live rosters competing in a single-elimination mixed tag-team tournament to win $100,000 to support the charity of their choice.

The idea behind this show is to test out the waters for potential shows on the social media platform as their TV rights are coming up in 2019. More people bidding for the rights means that WWE would get more money due to the demand in competition.

The second episode of WWE Mixed Match Challenge aired on Facebook on Tuesday night and saw The Miz and Asuka defeated Big E and Carmella.

Renee Young and Byron Saxton hosted the show while Corey Graves, Michael Cole and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix did commentary.

The Miz and Asuka will now face Finn Balor and Sasha Banks in Week 7. The match for next week’s show will see Braun Strowman and RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch.

The live broadcast peaked at 91,900 viewers, which is down from last week’s 135,600 live viewers. The view counter on the Facebook website shows 121,000 total views as of this morning, which is down from the 1.9 million total viewers. That is a big drop.

Ryan Ward is in charge of the upcoming tournament instead of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. If you recall, Ward was previously a booker for NXT and is now on part of the SmackDown Live creative team.

The series will feature 12 teams with female and male WWE Superstars going against each other in a tournament format. Here is the rest of the bracket for the show:

Week 3: Braun Strowman & Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Sami Zayn & Becky Lynch

Week 4: Goldust & Alicia Fox vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso and Naomi

Week 5: Elias & Bayley vs. Rusev & Lana

Week 6: Apollo Crews & Nia Jax vs. Bobby Roode & SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair

The semi-finals will include a special “second chance fan vote” that will give fans the ability to give an eliminated team a second chance in the tournament.
