Macclesfield striker Emile Sinclair netted his sixth goal of the season as they stretched clear of the League Two relegation zone with a 2-1 win at Barnet.
Sinclair rifled home in the 54th minute for the Silkmen after Barnet had dominated the first half without penetrating the visiting defence.
Lee Bell made the result sure in the 89th minute before Ed Upson ensured a nervy ending by grabbing an injury-time consolation.
Daniel Leach's acrobatic effort inside the first 10 minutes could have put Barnet ahead while Jake Hyde was put through by Mark Hughes but fired his effort wide from a tight angle.
Macclesfield struggled to stamp their mark on the game in the first half so it was a surprise when they took the lead 10 minutes into the second period.
Substitute John Rooney played Sinclair through and he made no mistake. Bees keeper Jake Cole then handed Macc their second as his poor clearance fell straight to Bell and he slotted into the unguarded net in the 89th minute.
Barnet sub Upson rifled home from 25 yards in injury time - but it was too little too late.
