It’s safe to say that the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently in a state of disarray.

Losers of six of their last seven contests and 10 of their last 13 overall since Christmas, LeBron James’ crew has simply not clicked.

Not only do the team’s issues reside on the court, but drama has extended off of it. Kevin Love was reportedly accused of faking an illness by some teammates during an explosive team meeting. LeBron is reportedly upset that the team traded for Isaiah Thomas instead of Eric Bledsoe or Paul George. There are many more examples, too.

Despite vowing not to change the lineup in advance of his team’s most recent loss, coach Tyronn Lue now wants to shake things up.

As a result, he will call a familiar player’s name to join the starting five.

"We're going to start Tristan," Lue said on Thursday, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. "Jae has been playing good the last few games and it has nothing to do with Jae. He's been great. He's all about the right things. He's all about the team. You hate to make these changes. Not saying it's permanent, but he's about the team. Went and talked to him this morning and he said, 'Whatever is best for the team. I'm all in.’"

It will be Thompson’s sixth start of the season. He began the year in the starting five before quickly being demoted to the second unit as Lue moved Love to center. Jae Crowder has spent most of the year starting at the four.

The coach believes that Thompson will help out the team on the defensive end, where they have been horrendous.

"Just think that adjustment will help us," Lue said. "I think T-Top defensively will help us out a lot too.”

Since Thomas’ diminutive size has created gigantic issues on that end of the floor, Thompson’s ability to protect the rim should give the struggling team a new look.

Thompson had quite the interesting answer when asked about how he will approach Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.

"I mean, you go to work every day, and you might not like a guy," Thompson explained. "You might not like the guy you work with. So it's part of life, but at the end of the day when we're between these lines, we got to play for one another and that's all that matters. I don't care if X don't like X off the court. I really don't give a s---. As long as you're on the court playing hard and playing for each other, that's all that matters to me. We don't got to talk to each other off the court. As long as we talk on the court, on the defensive end, that's all that matters to me."

Thomas, JR Smith, LeBron, Love and Thompson will start for Cleveland while Crowder will join a bench consisting of Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Jeff Green, Kyle Korver, Iman Shumpert, Cedi Osman and Jose Calderon.
