Chelsea are through to the next round of the FA Cup following Sunday's comfortable 3-0 win over Newcastle United.

Michy Batshuayi opened the scoring with a simple tap-in, assisted by Eden Hazard who was played through by a lovely Pedro pass.

Batshuayi then made it 2-0 just before the break with a somewhat fortuitous finish, which looped under the crossbar from Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow's parry.

It was game, set and match before the second 45 minutes even started, in truth, but in the 72nd minute, Marcos Alonso wrapped up the victory with a stunning free-kick.

From 25 yards out, the Spaniard curled the ball over Newcastle's wall and into the top-right corner, giving Darlow absolutely no chance.

Antonio Conte took no chances with his starting line-up at Stamford Bridge by starting Eden Hazard, Pedro, Gary Cahill and N'Golo Kante.

He did give some of his younger players a run out, though, such as 17-year-old duo Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Ampadu replaced Kante with just over 10 minutes remaining but that was all he needed to make a lasting impression on Chelsea supporters.

Just two minutes after coming on, the teenage midfielder showed what he's about with a stunning pass to Pedro that cut open Newcastle's defence and put the Spaniard through on goal.

Unfortunately Pedro wasn't able to finish, but that didn't stop Chelsea fans from getting very excited about what the future holds for Ampadu. Check out his pass below.

PIECE OF AMPADU MAGIC

Now that's what you call confidence. Here's how Chelsea fans reacted to Ampadu's inch-perfect pass for Pedro.

CHELSEA FANS REACT

Chelsea certainly have a rising star on their hands, with Conte recently hailing Ampadu for having a physicality and mentality beyond his 17 years.

"As I said before, he deserves to play," said Conte earlier this month. "He's showing in every game that I made this decision with him - against Everton, against Bournemouth.

"He's showed me he's ready, to be ready to face this type of game. To play with the right concentration. To be ready physically and tactically. To play at this level.

"But this is unusual for a player who is only 17 years old. But that shows, at the same time, that age is not important.

"The most important thing is that you show, when I give you the chance to play, you repay me with a great, with a good performance.

"We are talking about a really good prospect for Chelsea, for the present and the future."
