Although they’re obviously completely different types of players, Joe Hart’s spectacular decline is starting to resemble that of Fernando Torres. The England international was widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s best goalkeepers a couple of years ago.But it’s a totally different story now.Hart’s Torres-esque fall from grace coincided with the arrival of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The 30-year-old produced a series of poor performances in England’s disastrous Euro 2016 campaign and was then informed by Guardiola that he was surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.Hart spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan with Torino but failed to convince in Italy before returning to City last summer.Despite Claudio Bravo’s awful season, Guardiola had no intention of using Hart again and subsequently splashed out big money on the Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson last summer. This left Hart searching for another new club - but he wasn’t exactly inundated with offers. The shot-stopper eventually ended up at West Ham, signing a one-year loan deal with the Hammers following talks with Slaven Bilic. This was Hart’s opportunity to re-establish his status as a top-level goalkeeper ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

Hart's career has hit a new low

However, with just months before the showpiece tournament gets underway, his career has hit a new low.

David Moyes, like Guardiola, doesn’t appear to trust the Englishman, proven by the fact he’s started Adrian in West Ham’s previous 10 Premier League matches.

The Scottish coach handed Hart a rare start in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Wigan Athletic on Saturday but, once again, he flattered to deceive.

West Ham were dumped out of the competition by their League One opponents and many West Ham fans on Twitter were extremely critical of Hart’s role in the shock defeat.

Hart has made a decision over his career

Now, according to The Times, Hart is ready to end his loan deal with West Ham early, fearing that Adrian will play every match between now and the end of the season.

The experienced ‘keeper’s dream of making England’s World Cup squad is currently hanging by a thread and he believes he must leave the London Stadium in order to keep his faint hopes alive.

Will Newcastle United take a punt on him?

The report adds that Newcastle United were interested in the summer and there’s a possibility that Rafael Benitez will renew his interest in the unsettled City loanee.

But is Hart better than Rob Elliot or Karl Darlow right now?

He might not even play regularly at St James' Park.

Talk about a career nose-dive.
