Mike Tyson may be more known lately for his movie cameos than his boxing talents, but recently he’s found himself back in the combat sport’s spotlight.

Firstly, because of the comments made by current WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

The Alabama fighter claimed in a recent TMZ video that no fighter in history could beat him, even the great Iron Mike.

Asked about his chances against the 1986 version of Mike Tyson, he laughed and told reporters he would “kick the hell outta that guy”.

The comment certainly raised more than a few eyebrows, with Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno saying comparisons were premature at this stage of the American’s career.

Just a few days removed from Wilder’s comments, though, a video of Tyson hitting the pads with his son has emerged.

In the video, Miguel Tyson can be seen landing some sharp hooks, upper cut combinations, displaying a mixture of speed, and solid technique in his pad work.

The similarities between his explosive looking technique and his father’s is pretty striking.

Known for his bursts of speed and fast hands relative to his size, Mike Tyson was devastating whenever he connected, and Miguel looks like a chip off the old block.

Watch the video below.

The 15-year-old is still a little young to be competing professionally, but if he continues the way he's going, he could certainly be a big-time player in the future.

Having said that, modern great-in-the-making Canelo Alvarez had his first professional bout at 15, so maybe an imminent career isn’t completely out of the question.

If he were to possess even half of his father’s ability in the squared circle, then his is certainly a career we would all relish following closely.

It's certainly something to keep your eye on, especially if he's got Mike in his corner.
