It's not even been a month since Philippe Coutinho completed his £142 million move to Barcelona yet Liverpool fans already miss the 25-year-old.

When the Reds blew away Manchester City 4-3 on January 14, it seemed like they would be just fine without him.

But two defeats since then to Swansea City away and West Brom at home in the FA Cup has caused concern amongst Kopites.

They want Jurgen Klopp to use some of the £142 million from Coutinho's sale to replace him in January, but the German manager confirmed on Monday that won't be happening.

"Philippe Coutinho is not going to be replaced in this transfer window. It's about using our own tools, players and tactics," said Klopp.

"We could have won these games (against Swansea and West Brom). It was not about creating chances, it was about different stuff.

"The solution is not out there on the transfer market at the moment. We always have open eyes but we really think we have to use our players.

"In the long-term, we will do a lot, in the short-term, I don't think so."

Coutinho may be gone for good, but according to Sport's Angels Fabregues, per the Liverpool Echo, the Brazilian returned to Merseyside today to say a proper goodbye to his teammates.

Apparently the Brazil international wanted to leave with "good feelings", despite refusing to play and basically forcing a move to Barcelona.

Coutinho's return has been confirmed by Adam Lallana on Instagram (see below).

Fabregues also claims a farewell party has been organised for Tuesday, where Coutinho will say his goodbyes to Liverpool's players, the technical staff and some close friends.

However, there's reason to suggest Coutinho's return might not go to plan.

With Liverpool due to travel to face Huddersfield in the Premier League on Tuesday night, question marks have been raised of when the event will actually take place.

Klopp will want his players to be focused ahead of the game and with it being a late fixture, it's unlikely the farewell party will happen afterwards in Huddersfield.

Something doesn't quite add up here, so it's unclear exactly what kind of farewell party Liverpool and Coutinho have planned - if at all.

Either way, it needs to happen on Tuesday because Coutinho must fly back to Barcelona on Wednesday to prepare for their game against Valencia in the Copa del Rey second leg.
