In a rare night where he was unable to find the target, Neymar still had everyone talking about him.Paris Saint-Germain beat Rennes 3-2 in a dramatic Coupe de la Ligue semi-final, which almost saw the Ligue 1 leaders blow a three-goal lead.Unai Emery's men were seemingly sailing through to the final thanks to goals from Thomas Meunier, Marquinhos and Giovani Lo Celso, all before the hour mark. But Kylian Mbappé was then sent off, allowing Rennes to rally late on, with former West Ham man Diafra Sakho getting the first, before Sanjin Prcic struck in the 92nd minute to leave PSG nerves jangling. But they held on to ensure that their hopes of a historic quadruple are still alive, and they showed they're not completely reliant on Neymar, Mbappé and Edinson Cavani. The big talking point of the game, even with five goals and a red card, belonged to the most expensive footballer in history. With the score at 3-2, and PSG desperately trying to kill time, Neymar committed a foul and then kicked the ball away, receiving a yellow card as a result. What he did next however, left people on Twitter feeling very annoyed.WATCH:

The Brazilian offered to help Hamari Traoré to his feet, but faked it and pulled back while laughing at his opponent, in what seemed like a harmless little joke.

But the fans were far from happy with Neymar, with one person even suggesting it's time for him to grow up.

After the game, Neymar defended his actions, confirming that the incident was intended to be a joke.

He also said that he believes football is getting dull, because players aren't allowed to do anything 'contentious' on the pitch.

"I even think that football is getting boring, because we cannot do anything. Everything is contentious," he started.

"I'm playing football but players provoke me a lot.

"At the end of the game, I made a joke (he pretended to make a player to stand up and at the end he took his hand off), I know it's going to be controversial.

"I always laugh and make jokes to my friend, why not vs the opponents?"

Judging by his comments, it doesn't seem as though Neymar will be following the fans' advice and growing up any time soon.
