Jose Mourinho was understandably furious with what he saw from his Manchester United players following Wednesday night's 2-0 defeat against Tottenham at Wembley.A series of defensive errors and sheer lack of discipline saw the Red Devils go 2-0 down within 30 minutes, courtesy of Christian Eriksen's 11-second opener and Phil Jones' own goal. And Mourinho felt they should have done better, although bad luck was involved when Jones inadvertently found the back of his own net."I don't think it's very normal to concede a goal [at the start] like we did," said Mourinho. "After the kick-off, it's ridiculous."It is especially ridiculous because the players - they watch it before, we analyse opponents and work on opponents' dynamics and routines."We don't press the ball. One mistake. We don't win the ball in the air. Second mistake. We don't win the second ball on the ground. Third mistake."We don't cover inside, the full-back inside, when Eriksen comes. Four mistakes. Four mistakes and you are losing 1-0 against a good team."The second goal, I don't say ridiculous, I just say unlucky."In the hours since United's defeat, the clubs fans have expressed concerns about Paul Pogba and where Mourinho has been playing the Frenchman.Pogba has thrived this season when he's been given the freedom to push forward, but against Tottenham, he was forced to sit back alongside Nemanja Matic in a midfield two.He was eventually hauled in the 63rd minute for Marouane Fellaini and now a video has emerged of Pogba and Mourinho locked in a heated debate on the sidelines. And while it's unclear exactly what the pair said to each other, fans think Mourinho was angry with Pogba for not playing in the midfield two, while Pogba was questioning Mourinho's tactics.

MOURINHO & POGBA'S BUST-UP

MAN UTD FANS REACT

Based on the Tottenham game, Mourinho might be wise to revert back to playing a midfield three of Pogba, Matic and Ander Herrera.

That would mean sacrificing one of United's attacking players, of course, but Pogba is far too talented and creative to be restricted to defensive midfield.
