Even when the 'Wenger Out' brigade was at it's most audible, Arsenal legend Ian Wright would not surrender his loyalty to Arsene Wenger.Wright, who played under the long-serving Frenchman for two years while becoming the club's all-time leading goalscorer in the process, is now a pundit for the BBC on Match of the Day.Wenger has racked up nearly 20 years for the red half of north London since Wright departed the club and while there have been some tremendous highs, for the past decade, there hasn't been as much.Arsenal have won three of the last four FA Cups, but any genuine title challenges or progress in Europe have been few and far between. The fact that Arsenal exited the FA Cup at the third-round stage this season - for the first time during Wenger's tenure - has also been telling. Now, Arsenal are fresh off a 3-1 defeat to rock-bottom Swansea and star man Alexis Sanchez has just left them for Manchester United. It seems as though Wright has now finally had enough of Wenger and while he believes the 68-year-old will see out his deal with the Gunners until the end of next season, he can't see it getting better for Wenger.“They [the players] seem to be not responding to this manager at the moment,” Wright told Match of the Day.“I have been very loyal and I know that Arsene Wenger will probably be there for another two years.

“You know that there is things going on in the background with [Sven] Mislintat and [Raul] Sanllehi and [Ivan] Gazidis and you know that there’s a war going on.

“There has been a lot going on and I would like to see [Stan] Kroenke come over and actually get the people to get together and work for the club.”

And Wright blames the inconsistency of performances for their league position which sees them trailing fourth place by eight points.

“You see how the guys can play when they want to like against Chelsea and we’ve seen in certain games, against Man Utd and that, they raise their game,” Wright added.

“When you look at them, it’s the inconsistency of the performances.”
