Things are not what the sports entertainment had hoped for with this show.

Mixed Match Challenge started streaming live on Facebook on Tuesday nights beginning Jan.16. The 12-episode series has aired on the social media platform.

Fans will be able to watch WWE Superstars from both the Raw and SmackDown Live rosters competing in a single-elimination mixed tag-team tournament to win $100,000 to support the charity of their choice.

The semi-finals will include a special “second chance fan vote” that will give fans the ability to give an eliminated team a second chance in the tournament.

If you recall, Ryan Ward is in charge of the upcoming tournament. Some may not remember but Ward was previously a booker for NXT and is now on part of the SmackDown Live creative team.

The original idea was going to be a show focused on the Women of WWE. This would have included female stars from Raw, Smackdown Live, and NXT.

The third episode of WWE Mixed Match Challenge aired on Facebook on Tuesday night and saw Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss defeat Sami Zayn & Becky Lynch.

Renee Young and Byron Saxton hosted the show while Corey Graves, Michael Cole and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix did commentary.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that officials of the sports entertainment company are not happy with the viewership numbers for this brand new show as it was noted that some key people in the promotion are already sour on the tournament. Here is what Meltzer had to say (transcript courtesy of RingSide News:

“Mixed Match Challenge dropped greatly in viewership. Even before this week’s numbers came in, we had heard that they were very unhappy about the huge drop from week one to week two and key people were already souring on it.

The second show as really bad. This week’s show felt like a harmless gimmick show but there feels like no important reason to watch.

The live broadcast peaked at 62,400 viewers, which is down from last week’s 91,900 live viewers. The view counter on the Facebook website shows 459,000 total views as of this morning. Here are the peak viewership numbers thus far:

Episode 1: 135,600

Episode 2: 91,900

Episode 3: 62,400
