As expected, everyone is talking about what went down at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view where former UFC Bantamweight Champion finally made her highly anticipated debut as an official WWE star.

She interrupted Asuka’s celebration and her moment where she was about to decide who she’s going to be challenging at WrestleMania 34 - with many claiming that she unnecessarily stole the limelight from The Empress of Tomorrow.

DEBUT

With that now in the books, attention now turns to who Rousey could face at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans in just a few months. Several names have already been floating around, with both Asuka and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte rumoured in recent times to meet Rousey in the middle of the ring.

However, it doesn’t seem as if WWE will be trusting enough to give Rousey a one on one match regardless of how much progress she makes inside of the Performance Center, but one particular storyline won’t need her to compete in singles action.

According to numerous sources, the plan for Rousey - other than her potentially being paired with Paul Heyman down the line - is that she could be involved in a mix tag team match at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

The Dirty Sheets were the first to report that the plan could be for Rousey to team up with none other than Braun Strowman to face off against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

WRESTLEMANIA PLANS

This is an option which does make perfect sense. Rousey and Stephanie clearly have a history based on their actions at WrestleMania 31 while Stephanie is someone who will clearly want to be involved in some form with WWE scooping up perhaps their most mainstream athlete.

Plus, there’s always been speculation that The Monster Among Men could face off against The Game in singles action at WrestleMania following on from their altercation at the Survivor Series event. A mixed tag team match could be great news for everyone involved.

First, it would keep Rousey out of a singles championship match which the other women have worked so hard for and don’t deserve to be overshadowed in that fashion. Although, you could argue that this will be the case anyway with Rousey now in WWE.

At the same time, there will be more mainstream media attention on Rousey. Firstly, because of the huge name she is and secondly, it’ll be her first major appearance as a WWE star where she’s competing. That also means Strowman will be getting in on the media action which is huge for him and his prospects down the line.

However, other sources such as Rajah are claiming that WWE is hopeful to go full circle from WrestleMania 31 and have The Rock team up with Rousey instead after what occurred between four of them in Santa Clara.

Another name that has been mentioned is current Monday Night RAW general manager, Kurt Angle. Angle and Triple H also have a history and that’s been revisited recently which could culminate in the same fashion.
