It says a lot about Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance against Levante on Saturday that the biggest talking point came when he was substituted. The Portuguese winger was replaced in a game for the first time in eight months and proceeded to game into a row with the pitch-side cameraman and photographers, who were eager to catch a clearly frustrated Ronaldo.“Don’t film me, focus on the game!,” the 32-year-old said to the media members. It was a disappointing night for Real Madrid on the whole. Zinedine Zidane’s side conceded an 89th minute equaliser to draw 2-2 and they remain in fourth place in La Liga, 18 points behind runaway leaders Barcelona.Ronaldo was replaced by Marco Asensio one minute after Isco had given Los Blancos a 2-1 lead and Zidane said he simply wanted to tighten his midfield. It was planned to change him, and that's all," Zidane told beIN SPORTS at full-time, per Goal."I changed him as I wanted another player a bit more in the middle of the pitch, to defend with Marco Asensio and Karim [Benzema]."

Messi fan makes Ronaldo 'disasterclass' video

And yet his highlights suggest something else.

The Mirror graded Ronaldo’s performance as four out of 10 - it was certainly a game he would like to forget.

A Lionel Messi supporter has compiled the Portugal international’s worst moments on Saturday, and it’s pretty funny.

The video concludes with a clip of Ronaldo calling himself the best player in the world, immediately followed by a man laughing.

Check it out below, along with some reaction.

Messi has trumped Ronaldo this season

While Messi has scored 20 goals in 21 La Liga appearances this season, Ronaldo’s domestic tally pales in comparison.

He’s scored eight times in 17 matches which, by his lofty standards, is a poor return.

It all leads to the notion that, while they share the same number of Ballon d’Ors, Messi is the finer player.

Gary Lineker certainly agrees with that idea. Back in December, the Match of the Day host launched a passionate defence of Messi.

On the Ballon d’Or, which was won by Ronaldo in December, Lineker tweeted: “Is it for the best player or the best player of the most successful team? I love Ronaldo but Messi is a better footballer.”

He later added: “Fact is Messi is the best passer, dribbler, goal scorer and player in the game.”

His performances this season suggest Lineker is right.
