Arsenal will not be offering a contract to Belgian teenager Dennis Praet.
The highly-rated 15-year-old enjoyed a recent trial in north London, and it was widely reported in the English media that Arsenal would make the youngster an offer.
That was denied though, with the Young Guns blog confirming that the Racing Genk midfielder returned home following his brief stint with the Gunners.
A talented playmaker who has represented his country at U16 level, Praet has been scouted by Barcelona and Liverpool to name just two other interested parties.
Liam Brady was quick to follow up his original interest, and Praet is expected to return to England for a second trial after manage Arsene Wenger failed to get a glimpse of the rising talent.
Genk are thought to be chasing a large sum of compensation money, and an unusual bidding war could ensue should other clubs take a closer look.
Frenchman Wenger appears to hold the cards if he wants to make a deal though, and might have to move quickly if he wants to beat other interested parties to the transfer draw.
