Changes in the commentary booth aren't all that uncommon in the WWE and they are often sudden.

Everyone remembers the iconic tandem of Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler during the Attitude Era and in 2001, Paul Heyman would take the King's place for a few months after he walked out in protest of the company releasing his then partner, The Kat.

King would return after the invasion angle and went on to have a long, Hall of Fame career with the company.

Replacing good ol' JR in the longrun was Michael Cole, a man that is still a central part of the Monday night broadcast to this day.

For the past few months, Corey Graves and another Hall of Famer in Booker T have flanked Cole, but following the Royal Rumble, the WWE decided to move Booker T away from the announce booth and replace him with former employee, Jonathan Coachman.

Lots of fans have long speculated that there is problems between Graves and Booker T due to their numerous clashes on the air.

It's always hard to tell when both men are in character, but speaking on his podcast Heated Conversations, the former five-time WCW champion revealed that Graves is the reason his role was changed.

"People ask me about Corey Graves. Corey Graves is good at what he does, you know? Corey Graves, he’s thrown jabs at me, I’ve thrown jabs back, you know?

"But I tell you, if I got Corey Graves into a fisticuffs, I would beat him down like he stole something. I would be whooping his ass all day long. Because that’s the thing - my thing is this. I’m a nice guy, until you get on my bad side. Corey Graves, right now, I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s on my bad side, but he’s the reason that I’m not on Monday Night Raw right now. Because, you know what, a lot of people in the company thought I was gonna jump on him, I was gonna do something bad to him

"That’s how hot I was getting. That’s how close I was getting. So, they said, ‘Hey, Book. We’re gonna take - step back a second, alright? We’re gonna regroup, alright, we’re gonna press the rewind button.

"We’re gonna send you back to the Kickoff show of SmackDown, Monday Night Raw pay-per-views and cool you down for a second. Cause we don’t want you to do anything to Corey Graves, because we know what you could do to him. We know Corey Graves could do... he’s sitting there for a reason, man. He’s sitting there for a reason, and Corey Graves knows it."

That reason is because Graves had to retire from in-ring competition thanks to suffering multiple concussions. Speaking of Booker T's confidence in fighting Graves; Booker famously and comfortably defeated Batista in a backstage fight over a decade ago and has a reputation as one of legit toughest men in the business.

Booker went on to threaten Graves and even 'call him out' for a fight.

"You know what? I’ll tell you this here. I want all you people out there to know, you heard it right here Heated Conversations, Sports Radio 610, it’s probably gonna make all the dirt sheets like Meltzer and all those guys. But if I catch Corey Graves on the street, I’m gonna do something to him. Alright?"

There's certainly some animosity there, but how much Booker has exaggerated for the sake of his podcast and the publicity it will bring is up for debate. Graves better hope he is exaggerating, anyway.
