It’s been more than 48 hours since Liverpool’s incredible 2-2 draw with Tottenham and football fans still haven’t finished talking about it.

After two days of analysing and scrutinising the two penalty decisions that Tottenham were given, fans still can’t agree.

Whether the two penalty decisions were correct or not is open to debate but the fact is, it was an incredible climax to the Premier League match.

And both sets of supporters didn’t really know whether to be happy or disappointed after earning just one point.

Of course, scoring a 95th-minute equaliser from a contentious penalty saw wild celebrations from everyone associated with Spurs. But you can’t deny they didn’t deserve at least a point after their second-half performance.

However, there’s one man that thought the only reason Spurs looked good after half-time was because of Jurgen Klopp’s tactics.

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has accused the German boss of betraying Liverpool’s DNA by bringing on defensive players and trying to hold onto the win, rather than going all out for three points at Anfield.

PETIT ON KLOPP'S TACTICS

Speaking to SFP, per the Mirror, Petit said: “This was a result that suited no-one - neither Liverpool nor Tottenham.

“It was an exceptional end of the match but I found that Klopp got in wrong, especially in the last 20 minutes by replacing attackers players with defensive players.

“He had the game in his hand, even if Tottenham had made a comeback in the second half, the match was under control in the first half.

“It reminds me of Emery in the second match against Barcelona – la montada - where at 3-1 he made defensive changes.

“I think it sends bad messages to your players when it is like that, especially in the English culture where people are more likely to go on the attack than protect a result.

“It is not in Liverpool's DNA to sit on a result. I found it was an error from Klopp but I am a big fan of his character.”

Before Victor Wanyama’s stunning equaliser, Klopp had made three substitutions - Gigi Wijnaldum for Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Sadio Mane and Joel Matip for James Milner - as he tried to preserve the 1-0 lead given to them by Mohamed Salah's early strike.

But those subs didn't do enough to stem the tide from the away side as Wanyama scored a goal of the season contender, before Harry Kane cancelled out Mohamed Salah’s second goal of the match to earn a 2-2 draw.
