The Cleveland Cavaliers managed to achieve a much-needed win last night against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but many still believe the team needs to bring some new faces in to return the team back to the same level they were at last season.

One player that has been heavily linked to the Cavaliers over the past couple of weeks is Los Angeles Clippers' DeAndre Jordan, as the center would help the Eastern Conference side in many areas of the court.

Cleveland has been very poor this season when it comes to defensive efficiency and rebound rate, two areas which would drastically improve if Jordan was added to their roster, and if reports are to be believed, Cleveland is going to any lengths to make it happen.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Clippers and Cavaliers continue to discuss the possibility of a trade of Jordan, and they could potentially get a third team involved in order to make the trade happen before the deadline later today.

Considering Jordan's quality on the court, and the fact that LeBron James could be leaving this summer, the Cavaliers could be willing to give up a lot in order to make this trade happen, which could include the Brooklyn Nets’ 2018 first-round draft pick.

When you take into account that Los Angeles doesn't have a first-round pick this year, and the fact them trading away Jordan will most likely result in another rebuild, the Nets’ 2018 first-round draft pick would be very useful for them.

The Cavaliers will likely have to offload Tristan Thompson's horrible contract of nearly $36 million over the next two seasons to the Clippers or to a potential third team to make room for Jordan, but the first-round draft pick will intice Los Angeles to make this trade and do their bit for a possible third team too.

This will be one of the more interesting storylines to watch out for today between now and the trade deadline of 3pm ET.
