Despite playing well with the Oklahoma City Thunder, many people still believe Paul George's future in the NBA is still up in the air, as there is still rumors stating he could switch to the Los Angeles Lakers over the summer.

With the NBA trade deadline being later today at 3pm ET, it wouldn't be surprising to hear about at least one team send a trade offer to the Thunder to see if they can pry away PG13. However, the Thunder themselves have sent out a warning to any team interested in George.

According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Oklahoma City has deemed George as 'untouchable' as well as the likes of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Steven Adams. None of these players are likely to move on deadline day, which isn't surprising.

The lurking danger for the Thunder though is the dangerous scenario where PG13 leaves the team with them receiving nothing in return, as the shooting forward will be a free agent this summer.

However, the man himself has provided Oklahoma City with some relief, as he has stated in an interview with Sam Amick of USA Today that he is happy with the Thunder and that will play into his decision at the end of the season.

“Well, I mean I’m happy here. I’m happy here. I’m happy with this group. At the end of the season, it’s still on my decision on what I need to do for my family. That has nothing to do with my happiness here though. I’ve been really happy.

"It’s a great organization to be a part of, but again, you know, I don’t want people looking at this and (saying) like, ‘Hey, because he said it’s his happiness at the end of the day (that he’s definitely re-signing).

“I don’t know if whether I’m going to LA, or what I’m going to do this offseason. But I can say I am happy about being here. I’m happy with playing with Russ, happy with playing with Melo, and this organization. This front office has shown what they can do to go get pieces and how active they are about winning.”

For the time being then, it looks like George will be staying at the Thunder, but be prepared for the Lakers talks to come around once more when the summer arrives later this year.
