Phil Jevons remains sidelined for Morecambe`s crucial home clash against fellow play-off hopefuls Dagenham & Redbridge but Laurence Wilson should return.

Leading scorer Jevons, who has 18 league goals to his name this season, missed last weekend`s 4-1 defeat against leaders Notts County having sustained a calf injury in training the day before the game.

And the former Bristol City man has failed to recover in time as the Shrimps look to secure a victory that would see them leapfrog the Daggers and possibly find themselves in the top seven come Saturday evening.

But boss Sammy McIlroy is expected to be boosted by the return of defender Wilson, who also missed out against the Magpies having gone down with a groin problem last Friday.

Captain Jim Bentley will be looking to regain his starting place having found himself on the bench for the last two games as he recovered from a neck complaint.

Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still will have an unchanged squad at his disposal.

Still will celebrate his 60th birthday at the Lancashire seaside where a win would keep his side in the play-off places.

However, a defeat could see Morecambe leapfrog them in a congested top half of the League Two table.

The Daggers picked up a 2-1 win over Burton last weekend thanks to a dramatic injury-time winner from winger Graeme Montgomery but despite his heroics he is set to remain on the bench.

Still was able to reunite his first-choice defensive partnership of Scott Doe and Mark Arber against Burton after the latter recovered from his ankle injury.

Defender Will Antwi is back in training after four months out with an ankle injury while Stuart Thurgood is still struggling with a knee injury that threatens to end his season.
