Torquay boss Paul Buckle will be forced to change his wining line-up for the home game against Macclesfield.
United have won four of their last five unbeaten games with the same outfield starting 10 but central defender Guy Branston is ruled out by suspension following his dismissal in last Saturday's 3-0 win at relegation-threatened Grimsby.
That win confirmed United's status as a League Two club for another season following last term's promotion from the Conference.
With Branston ruled out, central defender Kieran Charnock is set for a recall alongside impressive 21-year-old Mark Ellis, the Devon-born former Bolton Wanderers centre back.
United have taken 13 points from their last six games and will be looking to end the season on as strong a note as possible.
Macclesfield will welcome back midfielder Paul Bolland and forward Ben Wright.
The duo had been sidelined with hamstring and knee injuries respectively though both players have resumed training this week and could play a part at Plainmoor.
Midfielder Colin Daniel showed no ill-effects of his cameo in the win over Chesterfield and will be available while defender Carl Tremarco has trained all week and should at least claim a place on the bench.
However, defender Shaun Brisley is out with a groin injury although he could be fit for the next fixture against Darlington.
Midfielder Ross Draper will also miss out with an ankle problem and Ricky Sappleton looks like he will sit out the rest of the season.
