"This has happened with him and could happen with others."What we need from the fans is that they're with us. He was visibly unhappy at the fans reaction to Benzema's miss and gave a message to the supporters as the final whistle was blown.

A touch of class from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner - Benzema is the fifth highest goalscorer in Real Madrid's history.

Sergio Ramos was interviewed immediately after the comfortable victory and also had a message for the Real Madrid supporters.

"Everything depends on that tie [against PSG], we’re playing for our season," said the 31-year-old defender, as per AS.

“We have never been anything without our fans and we need everybody behind us more than ever against PSG. Let’s leave the whistles to one side.”
