Zinedine Zidane's side climbed up into third on Saturday evening after Los Blancos thrashed Real Sociedad 5-2 in La Liga.Cristiano Ronaldo scored a perfect hat-trick but Real Madrid still lie 16 points behind runaway league leaders Barcelona.It was the 33-year-old's first hat-trick of the 2017/18 campaign but Karim Benzema's struggles in front of goal continued.The French striker, who joined Real Madrid back in 2009, played the full 90 minutes but failed to find the back of the net once again.Benzema has managed just two goals in 16 La Liga appearances this season - and fans in the Bernabeu appear to have lost patience with him.The Real Madrid forward has been booed regularly this season and recently Zidane urged the fans to get behind Benzema."But it's not good to see him getting whistled when he gets back," said Zidane in January. "This has happened with him and could happen with others.
"What we need from the fans is that they're with us. Of course, they're within their rights; they've paid so can have opinions, but I want fans to be with us for 90 minutes."

Sergio Ramos was interviewed immediately after the comfortable victory and also had a message for the Real Madrid supporters.
"Everything depends on that tie [against PSG], we’re playing for our season," said the 31-year-old defender, as per AS.
“We have never been anything without our fans and we need everybody behind us more than ever against PSG. Let’s leave the whistles to one side.”
