WWE is now on the road to WrestleMania, which means soon they're going to start building towards all the matches taking place at this year's Showcase of the Immortals in New Orleans. There are several excellent rumored matches for the show, and any one of them could be the main event.

All the major WrestleMania 34 angles aren’t expected to start until after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, but several matches for the show have already been speculated for a couple of months now, so we can start to take a look at which match could main event the show.

We already know Shinsuke Nakamura will have a WWE Championship match after winning the Royal Rumble, most likely against AJ Styles, and we already know Asuka will have a Women's title match after winning the Women's Royal Rumble. This is expected to be against the SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.

It is widely expected that Roman Reigns will win the Elimination Chamber number one contender match later this month and go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. Nia Jax is rumored to challenge Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's title as well.

Speculation has suggested too that Ronda Rousey will be involved in a mixed tag team match alongside an unknown partner, possibly The Rock or Braun Strowman, versus Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at this year's Showcase of the Immortals. The Undertaker is rumored to have one more match at WrestleMania 34 as well before retirement against John Cena.

According to Bet Wrestling, Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship is the match which is favourite to main event WrestleMania 34 later this year. If this is the case, this would mean The Big Dog has main evented WrestleMania for the fourth year in a row.

The second joint-favourite match to main event this year's Showcase of the Immortals is any match featuring women superstars, or any match featuring The Undertaker. The third favourite match to main event WrestleMania is the WWE title match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

It wouldn't be surprising if Reigns main events WrestleMania once more since WWE see him as the face of the company, but they risk receiving the same reaction to the end of the show like that of WrestleMania 32 when he was booed out of the building after defeating Triple H for the WWE title.

WWE would receive a better reaction if they went with any one of the other three top favourite matches mentioned above. The match that would most likely receive the best reaction would be the Styles vs Nakamura match for the WWE title, so arguably, that should be the match that closes the show.
