While there won’t be a Premier League title race this season, it seems there will certainly be a very exciting race for the Premier League Golden Boot.A decade ago, 20 goals could have been enough to land the award. However, this season three players have already surpassed that number with Harry Kane scoring 23 goals, Mohamed Salah notching 22 and Sergio Aguero finding the net on 21 occasions. While the trio are flying in England’s top flight, two of those stars were making moves in Europe on Tuesday night.Kane scored as Spurs came from 2-0 down to 2-2 in Turin against Juventus, while Aguero grabbed a goal during Manchester City's 4-0 thrashing of Basel in Switzerland. Two world-class strikers sending a message to the rest of Europe. But which striker is better?Well, that question was discussed in the BT Sport studio with Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard and Glenn Hoddle joining Gary Lineker.Of course, Ferdinand has directly played against both so he was probably the best person to ask which one was better. And he was in no doubt who he’d rather play against stating that he would much rather come up against Kane than Aguero. However, when it came to picking which player was best, Ferdinand insisted it was the Tottenham forward that was, not only better than Aguero, but the best striker in the world.

FERDINAND AND GERRARD DISCUSS THE BEST STRIKER

Ferdinand said: “I’d rather play against Harry Kane than Aguero because, in terms of the way I’m built, the little guys who can turn and get their shots off quickly, I don’t want to play against them.”

But when Lineker asks who the best centre-forward in the world is, Ferdinand immediately replied: “Harry Kane. Easy.”

Hoddle was with Ferdinand, though, and believes that Kane is the best in the world.

Interesting…
