Following his £34 million move from Southampton in the summer of 2016, Sadio Mane proved he was well worth the money in his debut campaign.

The Senegalese international scored 13 times in all competitions and was sorely missed whenever he was absent - with Liverpool really struggling when he was at the African Cup of Nations.

But this season Mane hasn’t been quite so consistent, despite already notching nine goals.

A reason for Mane struggling for form might have something to do with the arrival of Mohamed Salah. After arriving for a similar fee, Salah’s first season at Anfield has already far surpassed what Mane did with the Egyptian scoring 29 goals so far.

While Salah has been performing miracles for Jurgen Klopp’s side, Mane looks a shadow of the player he was 12 months ago.

But the question that everyone wants to know is: Who is faster?

Mane and Salah play a very important role in Klopp’s tactics with them destroying defences with their incredible pace on the ball.

MANE'S REACTION WHEN ASKED WHO'S QUICKER

And when Mane was asked whether he was quicker than Salah, his reaction was rather brilliant.

“I think Mo is unbelievable,” Mane said when asked who was quicker. “Maybe I am but…

"Mo is crazy faster.”

Check out his hilarious reaction below:

While Salah and Mane have both played their part in Liverpool sitting third in the Premier League, their manager insists that they’re not world-class every day.

Instead, the German boss suggests that it’s their teammate, Roberto Firmino, that consistently performs at a high-level.

“Mo Salah, world class, but not every day,” Klopp told the Daily Mail. “Sadio Mane, world class, but not every day. Roberto Firmino, world class, pretty much every day.”
