Northampton have appointed Alastair Bannerman as a new associate director of the club.
Bannerman, the managing director of a London media agency joins the club with immediate effect and will attend monthly meetings with the Cobblers' staff, offering guidance and advice on various issues.
Cobblers chairman David Cardoza said: "I am delighted to welcome Alastair to the club. He is a very successful businessman in his own right and he has a clear passion for the club."
He added: "He has both commercial and marketing expertise that will be of benefit to the club and our staff. He has experience working with some of the biggest brands in the world and we are delighted that we will be able to call on his expertise and knowledge."
Bannerman added: "I am delighted to be joining the club. I was born and bred in Northamptonshire so am first and foremost a Cobblers fan.
"In addition to that, I hope to use my marketing and communications background to help the club appeal to new supporters and commercial partners alike. I look forward to working with David and his team to help bring future success to the Cobblers."
