Nick Foles on if he'll be with the Eagles next season

Nick Foles is coming off of an amazing Super Bowl 52 win with the Philadelphia Eagles over the New England Patriots, however, there's a chance he could leave Philadelphia this off season.

In a recent interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Foles discusses his football future and whether or not he believes he'll be in Philadelphia next season. When answering these questions Foles didn't seem to commit to one thing or another.

He didn't say he'd push Carson Wentz for the starting quarterback role, if he'd demand to be traded, or anything else for that matter. Instead, Foles seems fairly content to let things play out on their own (quotes via Pro Football Talk):

“All that stuff will take care of itself,” Foles said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “We’ll see what happens with my career.”

For Foles to challenge Wentz for the starting gig is an interesting scenario. Although the Eagles seem committed to Wentz as their quarterback of the future, Foles ended the season with two amazing back-to-back games in the NFL Championship and the Super Bowl.

If the former Pro Bowler and Super Bowl MVP decided to challenge for the Eagles' starting job, he has a great shot at earning it.

Foles would also do well to voice some desire to be traded. There are plenty of quarterback-needy teams who would give an arm and a leg for a signal caller the calibre of Foles, especially coming of of a Super Bowl MVP performance.

It should be interesting to see where Foles ends up next season, and if he'll compete for the Eagles starting quarterback role.

What are your thoughts on Foles pretty much leaving his NFL future up to chance at this point? Do you think the Eagles will retain him heading into the next season? Or will they trade him to add to their already impressive roster? Let us know your

thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
