Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba are currently going through a pretty tough time in their relationship. At the start of the season, all was going swimmingly, with Mourinho regularly acknowledging the French midfielder's importance in his side, with Pogba playing arguably his finest football in a Manchester United shirt. However, ever since the signing of Alexis Sanchez in January, the positive vibes between the pair have evaporated, with Pogba perhaps feeling less important compared to the Chilean superstar. His form has reflected that, turning in two true disaster-classes against both Tottenham and Newcastle. There have even been rumblings that Pogba could be sold, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain hovering around, with the midfielder reportedly 'regretting' rejoining United. So, when Mourinho sat down in front of the media on Friday before their FA Cup tie with Huddersfield, the Pogba situation was always going to be at the forefront. And, the United boss went into full rant-mode, questioning the motives of the media. Surely this is one of his best ever?

MOURINHO'S RANT

"The position is quite ridiculous to speak about it," Mourinho said. "Because I think we have, I don't want to be... What's the opposite of nice?

"I don't want to be nasty with other countries' punditry industry because there are obviously very good pundits in other countries, but I think we have here the biggest pundit industry because there are hundreds of them and the majority of them with great background and knowledge in football and I would like somebody to tell me in which position you think Pogba played in against Newcastle."

Jose then asked the media themselves to pick Pogba's position, before unleashing more fury.

"Any one of you want to tell me?" Mourinho asked. "Midfield? Okay, midfield, but we played with one number six and two number eights, or two number eights and one 10. Or trwo sixes and one 10. We play with one six and two eights. We play with Matic as a six, Lingard on the right side of Matic and Pogba on the left side.

"You know which is the Pogba preferred system? 4-3-3. Do you know Pogba's favourite position in the 4-3-3? Eight on the left.

"So it's easy and honest and objective to say Paul didn't play well against Newcastle, but some of the guys, they are paid millions, don't let people read things that are not true, you are paid to read the game and explain to people the game, don't say b******t."
