The trade deadline acquisitions have immediately rejuvenated the Cleveland Cavaliers and they have looked like a completely different team in the two games since revamping their roster.

Their season was turning into a disaster as they had major problems both on and off the floor.

They were suffering heavy losses and playing awful basketball on the court and this led to disharmony and a lack of chemistry between players off it.

General manager Koby Altman decided to make major changes to turn their campaign around and decided to offload Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye, Jae Crowder, Derrick Rose, Iman Shumpert and Dwyane Wade to the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat, respectively.

In return, the Cavs received Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr., Rodney Hood and George Hill.

In their opening two games with the Cavaliers, they played a big role in helping them secure impressive road wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics.

They already appear to be having more fun together and are playing with a renewed energy with the young players they acquired in Clarkson, Hood, and Nance, in particular.

This has led to some making the Cavs the favourites once again to make it to the finals.

On top of the newcomers in the team, the Ohio-based franchise still has Kevin Love to come back from injury which will make them even more of a threat.

The power forward was ruled out for up to eight weeks with a broken hand and is eager to make a comeback as soon as possible to experience playing with new teammates.

There is a slight question mark about how the big man will fit in when he returns and what kind of effect it'll have on them but he doesn't believe he'll encounter any problems.

"I'll fit in when I come back -- and hopefully I'll have enough games to get my legs beneath me and get my rhythm back," he said, in an appearance on ESPN's The Jump.

Love has been watching from the sidelines in recent games and sees a huge difference with the new additions, saying they have brought joy back to the Cavs.

"We have a lot of selfless guys added, young guys who are playing extremely hard. I think you've seen that in the last two games in wins over Boston and OKC. So we just continue to keep playing hard.

"It was nice to see everybody back on the floor having that joy back. I think you saw that. George Hill started out the game and it was like he's been with us all along.

"He's a battle-tested guy, been through a number of playoff series, been through it being a savvy veteran. And then Rodney Hood, Jordan Clarkson, Larry Nance Jr. -- I mean we just have a number of guys that come in make us younger, make us longer, and I think really add to our team."

The five-time All-Star is desperate to get back on the floor and his presence will add another dimension to the Cleveland offence and boost their chances of competing for a championship in the crucial period of the season.
