We now know his role in the sports entertainment company.

During a recent interview with Bloomberg, Stephanie McMahon commented on her brother, Shane McMahon, and his role behind the scenes in the sports entertainment company.

This marks McMahon second stint with the sports entertainment company. In 2009, McMahon announced his resignation from WWE which went into effect January 1, 2010.

He would later become CEO of entertainment service company YOU On Demand in late 2010.

However, on July 12, 2013, McMahon voluntarily stepped down as CEO of YOU On Demand and appointed Weicheng Liu as his successor, while remaining the company's principal executive officer and Vice Chairman of the Board.

Fast forward to February 22, 2016, he returned to the WWE as an on-screen character.

During his time with the company as a wrestler, he won the European Championship once and the Hardcore Championship once, and has wrestled in the main event of multiple WWE pay per views.

Here is what she had to say Stephanie had to say about her brother:

“He is really a strong talent for us right now,” says Stephanie—though he isn’t, she points out, an actual executive at the company”

WWE has been teasing tension between Shane and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan on television as of late. Many people believe that this would end with them wrestling each other at WrestleMania 34.

It’s well known by now that Brock Lesnar has been scheduled to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34.

This has been the plan for a while now. With the sports entertainment company not clearing Bryan to wrestle again due to his history with concussions, the match is not likely to happen.

However, it’s a safe bet that McMahon will be wrestling at the event.

WrestleMania 34 is set to be held on April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network and is the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured on the card.
