With the boxing world coming back into full swing, a lot of the focus is surprisingly on a man who has supposedly announced his official retirement from the fighting game; Floyd Mayweather.

The Money Man was involved in one of the most lucrative fights in boxing history back in August, when he took on UFC's Conor McGregor in Las Vegas.

Mayweather claimed a convincing victory, winning in the tenth round and in truth, he could have had the bout finished much earlier.

The victory took his record to 50-0, which many thought would see Mayweather finally retire for good after a hugely successful career.

However, in recent weeks, there have been rumblings that he may seek a rematch against McGregor, but this time, he may make the daring switch to the Octagon.

He's released some videos on social media hinting that he is training in MMA, while UFC's Dana White has stated that the fight may come to fruition.

Boxers have said they don't see it happening, while UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov has stated he feels McGregor's time in the sport is over, labelling him as a boxer.

But, one man may have dropped a huge hint that Mayweather could be set for the sensational move; his own father.

“The way I see it, I have to believe that this is where it’s going,” Mayweather Sr. said in a recent interview. “The way it looks, I think so.”

He as tried to steer his son away from UFC, however, he will do all he can to protect his son's unbeaten record.

“I don’t know what the (motivation is). As of now, he’s got enough money,” Mayweather Sr. added. “He’s got enough to live his life out.

“I think he could win a few fights, but I think it’s best to leave it alone. You can do your own thing, man. But you go in somebody else’s playground, and it’s … you just can’t do that, man. Don’t get me wrong, I believe he can beat some of those fighters like he did with the other guys, but it ain’t worth it. There ain’t no other way he can go right now besides backwards.”

Interesting, very interesting.
