The only FA Cup match on Sunday saw in-form Tottenham travel to Spotland Stadium to take on Rochdale, currently rock bottom of League One.Mauricio Pochettino rung the changes, with Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane starting on the bench, while Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Dembele and Christian Eriksen were all rested. The hosts went ahead in the 45th-minute, but Lucas Moura equalised and when Kane's late penalty looked to have won it, Steven Davies grabbed a 93rd-minute leveller to hold Spurs to a 2-2 draw.

Having completed a January deadline day move from Paris Saint-Germain for around £25 million, the cup tie saw newboy Moura make his first start for Tottenham.

The Brazilian winger lasted 71 minutes at Rochdale before coming off for Alli, and here's how fans reacted to his performance on what was his full Spurs debut.

Moura makes full Spurs debut

Lucas was an 89th-minute substitute for Erik Lamela in the 2-2 draw with Juventus, but he was named in the starting XI on Sunday, lining up on the right-hand side of midfield.

The January signing looked very bright in the opening minutes of the game, embarking on lots of good dribbles and showing glimpses of his electric pace.

The direct Moura tried to link up with Fernando Llorente, swapped wings with Heung-Min Son and pulled off some sharp turns and dangerous bursts of acceleration.

What fans are saying about Lucas after Rochdale game

There was plenty of reaction on social media to the 25-year-old's full debut, especially after the lovely move he orchestrated in the 54th-minute resulted in his well-taken goal.

Of course, it's only Rochdale, but Spurs fans were encouraged and pretty impressed with what they saw from the Brazil international and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Many think he was their best player against the relegation-threatened Rochdale - check out some of the best tweets below:

What was clear from Moura's full debut is that he'll offer Pochettino's men speed, genuine width on the right-wing and something different in the final third - which can only be a good thing.

More to come from Moura?

His energy, coupled with the fact that he is a proper wide player, should allow playmakers like Eriksen and Alli to operate almost exclusively in central areas - where they do their best work.

It's been an incredibly frustrating few months for Lucas, since the arrivals of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe limited him to just six appearances at PSG this season.

Spurs supporters are looking for him to produce his best form over the coming weeks and months, while the player himself will have eyes on making Brazil's World Cup squad.
