Huddersfield striker Robbie Simpson could make his first start since October in their final home game of the season against Colchester.

Simpson stepped off the substitutes' bench for the final four minutes in last week's 6-0 thrashing of Stockport after being sidelined since February with a thigh problem and manager Lee Clark revealed afterwards the former Coventry forward still had a part to play this season.

Clark, whose side are already assured of a top-six finish, has no other new injury or suspension problems and has been boosted by Neal Trotman's return to training this week after the defender was withdrawn at Stockport due to illness.

Clark must decide who to start with up front as Lee Novak is fit again and Theo Robinson and Jordan Rhodes are also available.

Colchester will be without midfield duo David Prutton and Ashley Vincent.

Prutton sits out with a one-match suspension after he was sent off in the closing stages of last weekend's 1-1 draw with Tranmere.

Vincent suffered a nasty ankle injury during the first half and looks set to miss Colchester's last two games.

With fellow midfielder John-Joe O'Toole sidelined by a cruciate injury boss Aidy Boothroyd may hand chances to Simon Hackney and David Fox.

On-loan defender Franck Queudrue will be checked over having been ruled out for the last three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Centre-half Paul Reid and striker Kayode Odejayi returned after injury lay-offs against Tranmere and should be involved again.
