Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is undoubtedly one of the finest passers in Premier League history.

The German midfielder joined Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42m in 2013 - and recently put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal in north London.

Arsene Wenger suggested Ozil can become the "technical leader" at Arsenal after committing himself to the club until 2021.

"Mesut has committed his future to the club in a period where we are in a tricky position on that front, in qualifying for the Champions League," revealed Wenger earlier in February.

"You expect that he becomes the leader and takes the responsibility to lead the team to success. He can be the technical leader of the team."

The 29-year-old scored the third goal in Thursday night's 3-0 win over Ostersund to all but secure Arsenal's spot in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Ozil's 33 best passes in an Arsenal shirt

Arsenal were eliminated from the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest in January so plenty of Gooners found they had some extra spare time on their hands this weekend.

One fan used his time to create an epic compilation video of Ozil's 33 best passes at Arsenal.

The World Cup winning midfielder is undoubtedly in the same bracket as Kevin De Bruyne and Cesc Fabregas when it comes to passing.

He just oozes class.

It's no wonder Arsenal fans were over the moon at news that he had finally signed a new contract at the club.

Cup final ahead

Wenger may rest some key players for the second leg against Ostersund on Thursday night because Arsenal are set to face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola's side - who are running away at the top of the Premier League - are considered massive favourites for the Wembley showdown.

However, Arsenal did beat City convincingly in the semi-final on their way to winning the FA Cup last season.

Expect fireworks.
