Ipswich manager Roy Keane has confirmed that former England goalkeeper Richard Wright will be leaving the club when his contract expires in the summer.

Wright lost his place to Portsmouth loanee Asmir Begovic this season before suffering a knee injury and he will leave Portman Road for a second time. Also leaving will be full-back David Wright, defender Pim Balkestein and midfielder Ed Upson.

Keane said: "There have been some very hard decisions to make about good senior professionals, lads like David and Richard Wright who I have decided not to give new contracts."

He added: "It doesn't mean I don't rate them as I do. They will get fixed up with new clubs because they are good players but I have the opportunity to take this club in a new direction and that is what I have got to do."
