One of the more over WWE Superstars on the main roster today is none other than the man formerly known as "The Drifter," Elias.

Elias debuted on the main roster on an episode of Monday Night RAW in April. His entrance consists of himself coming out to the ring on a bar stool, guitar in hand, before he sings a degrading song to the crowd in which he almost always bashes their city.

Despite him being a heel Elias has been cheered by the WWE Universe and is one of the bigger fan favorites on the main roster.

He recently joined former WWE Tag Team Champion Edge and Christian's podcast, E&C's Pod Of Awesomeness.

During the interview Elias discussed his transition from WWE's developmental program in NXT, to getting called up to the main roster. In that discussion Elias brought up an interesting story about Triple H.

He revealed that "The Game" knew all along that his character would thrive more so on the main roster rather than in NXT. Triple H told Elias this during his time in developmental (quotes via IWNerd):

“Triple H has told me specifically from the very first time when he saw me, he said that it would be a better main roster character than NXT.

"It never really clicked with the NXT audience the way it has. The way I see it, I took my live event act in NXT and brought it to the main roster.

"They saw the live event act and said let’s put that on TV. On NXT, I would sing songs, but wouldn’t even do that, plus it was very dark and cryptic, but this is the kind of stuff I was doing on live events in NXT before being called up.”

What are your thoughts on Triple H predicting that Elias' character will do better on the main roster than he did on NXT? Do you think that it's time for Triple H to take over creative of WWE's main roster due to his immense success in NXT? And how much different do you think the company will look with Triple H at the helm of things? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
