The Cleveland Cavaliers are loving life with their new-look team thanks to their activity on trade deadline day earlier this month, but they'll love life even more once Kevin Love is back on the court. They might not have to wait much longer for that to happen.

Love was in Los Angeles for the All-Star weekend. He had been voted onto the All-Star team by the coaches for the fifth time, but he had to sit out due to injury for the second consecutive year. He's been out of action for the Cavaliers since he fractured his left hand against the Detroit Pistons at the end of last month.

Love was at almost all the events in Los Angeles including at courtside for the All-Star Game itself sitting next to Kyrie Irving and LeBron James, but not on the court itself where he would have wanted to be. However, Love fans may not have to wait much longer to see him on the hardwood once more.

The five-time All-Star said recently during an interview with NBC Sports that he's expecting to be back on the court and playing with the new-look Cavaliers for the first time in about a month's time.

Love said: “I’m probably about two weeks out from getting this movable cast off for good, and then from there about a few weeks after that before I get back. So I have a good amount of time, about a month.”

The Cavaliers star is excited about getting on the court to play with his new teammates, as he believes the changes were necessary to get the team out of the bad form they found themselves in.

“Just clearing out… I shouldn’t say that, just getting new faces and getting new energy in the locker room has been big for us. Even in the last two games, you can just see the energy is different, you can see guys are really competing on both ends of the floor, and that bodes well for us the second half of the season.

“It might not have been a bad thing to get some fresh faces in there and guys from situations where they really wanted to win. I think first and foremost, seeing those (new) guys in Atlanta, they didn’t play, but they got there right after the trade and they just said they want to win.

“You can tell when somebody says it, you can tell when somebody means it. They really meant it and it felt good to have that there.”

The Cavaliers have been pushing themselves back into Eastern Conference contention thanks to their new-look squad, and their bid for one of the top seeds in the conference is only going to get stronger once Love is back on the court.
