Chelsea and Barcelona went head-to-head at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in a hotly anticipated first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash.Premier League clubs are performing brilliantly in European competitions and Chelsea are still in with a chance of progressing after holding the Catalan giants to a 1-1 draw.The Blues were defending magnificently and Willian fired the hosts in front - but a moment of madness in defence allowed Andres Iniesta to tee up Lionel Messi to break his duck against Chelsea.The 30-year-old Argentine had faced the Blues on eight occasions and had failed to score until sliding the ball past Thibaut Courtois in the 75th minute.Willian had initially broken the deadlock with a superb strike from the edge of the box in the 62nd minute.Barcelona had been warned by the Brazilian midfielder - he struck the post twice with long-range strikes in the first half.

The 29-year-old midfielder scored twice in Friday night's 4-0 FA Cup win over Hull City and he was Chelsea's biggest threat against Barcelona.

He shifted brilliantly after receiving the ball on the edge of the box and curled the ball around Antonio Rudiger into the bottom corner.

Barcelona 'keeper Marc-André ter Stegen was rooted to the spot.

Conte's reaction on the touchline

The enigmatic Italian coach has not been quite as energetic over the last couple of months but he was barking order all evening on Tuesday night.

Conte produced one of his best goal celebrations to date after Willian found the bottom corner - he went absolutely bonkers.

No wonder they're still singing his name at Stamford Bridge.

Conte has fallen out with the Chelsea board and it's been widely reported that he'll be replaced in the summer - but the fans absolutely love him.
