Harry Kane has come a long way in just a couple of years.

During the 2013/14 season, he played just 10 times in the league for Tottenham following loan spells at Leyton Orient, Milwall, Norwich and Leicester.

Fast forward four years and he’s arguably the best striker in world football.

This season, Kane has racked up 34 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions, having scored 35 in 38 last campaign.

You can’t argue with those sort of figures.

But there’s only one stat that Kane cares about - and it’s not goals.

That’s because he’s yet to win a single trophy during his career with the striker turning 25 in the summer.

But Kane’s goals has seen him become a global superstar and, as a result, he was asked to present an award at the Brits last night.

Kane, alongside Camilla Cabello, presented Kendrick Lemar with an award but not before host - and Arsenal fan - Jack Whitehall mocked him.

As he introduced Kane to the stage, Whitehall said: "Our next presenter is a Tottenham striker... meaning the Brit award he hands out tonight will probably be the only trophy he gets his hands on this season."

Take a look:

And fans thoroughly enjoyed a bit of football banter during the Brits. Check out the reaction:

Kane will be doing everything he possibly can to prove Whitehall wrong this season. His Spurs side will need a replay for overcome Rochdale, before a potential trip to either Swansea or Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, they must now be favourites to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after drawing 2-2 with Juventus in Turin in the first-leg of their last-16 tie.
