The Miz was drafted to the ECW brand in 2007 where he formed a partnership with John Morrison. Together, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship.

After being drafted to Raw in 2009, he won the United States Championship twice, tag team titles with John Cena, Damien Mizdow, and twice with Big Show, as well as the 2010 Raw Money in the Bank ladder match.

He cashed in his briefcase to win the WWE Championship in November 2010 and went on to hold for six months. He is also the third longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history by combined days, behind only Don Muraco and Pedro Morales.

If you recall, the biggest match of The Miz’s career was when defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 in the main event.

This marked the only time that WWE had booked The Miz in the main event of the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason that the current WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz missed last weekend’s live events due to attending a baby shower as he and his wife, Maryse, are expecting their first child together.

The show will likely be aired on their upcoming reality show on the USA Network.

During a recent interview with FOX Sports, The Miz discussed talked about becoming a father. Here is what he had to say:

“It’s one of those situations where I don’t know what I am doing. I have been getting so much advice. I was just talking to [Triple H] just the other day… He was just schooling me on everything.”

“Once she starts getting it and understanding it, let’s see what she wants. “Honestly, I don’t know…”

“Every time I step out into that arena… and I hear people booing me… there is no better feeling than knowing this audience, I have them.”

The Miz is slated to take part in the upcoming Elimination Chamber Match to determine who would challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34. 

The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, February 25th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. This will be an exclusive Raw brand event and the final Raw PPV before Wrestlemania 34.
