WWE is planning big things for Seth Rollins in 2018

This past Monday Seth Rollins truly began the transition into once again making Monday nights "Monday Night Rollins" again.

"The Architect" is coming off of an amazing performance on Monday Night RAW in which he performed inside the ring for over an hour. The match was a Seven-Man Gauntlet match between the seven competitors in the Elimination Chamber match this weekend.

Rollins started off with Roman Reigns and defeated both Reigns and John Cena in the opening hour. He was later defeated by Elias who entered the match fourth.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE wants to build up Rollins and that's the reason he was left in the match as long as he was.

Jason Jordan's neck injury sidelined him for WrestleMania, thus making Rollins' plans for "The Show Of Shows" unclear. The company seems to be planting seeds that Rollins will have a major role with WWE in 2018.

There is currently a shortage of top heels in the WWE's RAW brand and the plan after WrestleMania is to turn Rollins heel and have him feud with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

Brock Lesnar currently reigns as the Universal Champion in the WWE after winning the strap from Goldberg last year at WrestleMania 33. He will defend his title against the winner of this weekend's Elimination Chamber match at WrestleMania 34.

It's expected that Roman Reigns will win the Chamber match and punch his ticket to face off against "The Beast" at "The Show Of Shows." As for Rollins, it should be interesting to see what they do for him at WrestleMania.

He was originally slated to take on Jason Jordan, however, after Jordan's injury that plan was scrapped. Rollins is on the end of the list to possibly team with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.

What are your thoughts on Rollins possibly turning heel later on this year after WrestleMania 34 due to the shortage of top heels on Monday Night RAW? Do you think that this will be a good change for "The Architect" going forward in his professional wrestling career? And would you like to see him feud with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
