It's not even been two years since #POGBACK was coined, yet there are suggestions Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United this summer.

In a season that started so brightly for the Frenchman, he's recently become out of favour under Jose Mourinho and was even dropped for Wednesday's game against Sevilla.

Mourinho said his decision to leave Pogba out of his starting XI was because he had only just recovered from illness, but no one is buying it.

According to the Daily Mail, Pogba feels unloved at United at the moment and believes he's been harshly treated by his manager.

Apparently Pogba has been singled out by Mourinho in training sessions of late, which led to a heated exchange at United's Carrington training ground.

The 24-year-old not only criticised Mourinho's tactics in his office but complained about his role in the team, like playing out of position and not starting at all.

In response, Mourinho said "I'm the boss" and told Pogba to read the "manager" sign as he walked out.

All this finds Pogba's camp sounding out potential moves elsewhere in Europe this summer, which is of great concern to United fans.

He's one of their best players and having cost a club-record sum in 2016, losing him wouldn't reflect well on the Red Devils.

However, just in case Pogba does actually leave at the end of the season, the Mirror claim United have made contact with a £35 million-rated midfielder to replace him.

Introducing Nice's Jean Michael Seri, who Mourinho tried to sign in January and was recently watched by United scouts in the Europa League.

Seri, who came close to joining Barcelona last summer, has a £35 million release clause and is seen as the complete midfielder.

His all-action style of play is exactly what Mourinho expects from his midfielders, so it's little wonder the Portuguese regards him as the perfect replacement for Pogba.

Much will depend on what Pogba decides, with the France international uploading a cryptic Instagram post on Thursday after being dropped for the Sevilla trip.

Alongside a picture of himself training as a substitute before the game, Pogba simply wrote: "God's plan."
